NYS Music is a proud sponsor of the Happy Owl Fest this Sat., July 23 in midtown Manhattan at the American Beauty NYC bar.
This is a one day event featuring some of NY’s best: Sprocket, Formula 5, Sly Fox and the Hustlers, Bee, Polyvamp, Tropico Blvd, Patrick Duffy Band, and comedians Tom McGrath and CHEESEBURGER! and Hamburger Vampire Presents: Fight Night.
Sprocket is an improvisational rock group that has been growing in popularity since 2013, recently rocking stages such as the Brooklyn Bowl, a sold out after-party at the Hard Rock in Chicago after GD50, and a special live acoustic set at the Relix Office in Manhattan.
Formula 5 is an upstate NY four-piece band that has an “organic, funk filled sound rooted in the style of some of their jam band idols. Formula 5 brings an honest, classic approach to a genre that is becoming increasingly filled with progressive electronic artists.”
Sly Fox and the Hustlers can be described as a high energy sound fused with a “bluesy rock n’ roll” combining elements of “soul, funk and a dash of punk.” In the past, they have shared the stage with big acts such as Blues Traveler, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Robin Trower, Twiddle, American Babies, and more.
Doors will open at 2 P.M. and the show will run from 3 P.M. to 3 A.M. Tickets available online.
