The festival will take place at The Dutchess County Airport in Wappingers Falls, and feature six bands, local food and vendors, crafts, and children’s activities. The airport will close a portion of their runways in order to make room for the festival.

The bands include: Simon Felice, Rayland Baxter, Swear and Shake, Nicole Atkins, and Fiction of the Future. They are now joined by the Lumineers, who are currently on their Cleopatra World Tour. The band is also set to play Ommegang Brewery in Cooperstown on July 30.

The Lumineers released the follow-up to their 2012 self-titled album, Cleopatra, in April. The album was produced by Simone Felice of the Felice Brothers in the Hudson Valley, with “Ophelia” being the first single.

Tickets for the Speed of Sound festival can be purchased here. Prices range from $45-$175. For more information, visit: http://www.speedofsoundfest.com/
