Dopapod will be concluding their extensive spring tour at the Sinclair in Cambridge, Mass., April 28-30. Beginning the tour on March 31 at the Bluebird Theater in Denver, the hard working quartet have been finding their way back east. After tearing through 20 dates in less than two months, Dopapod will finish off the tour near their birthplace, Berkley College of Music in Boston.
Combining unique elements of progressive rock, jazz-fusion, blues, and metal, Dopapod offers a strange, pungent flavor that many find enticing. A different opening act for each night will keep things fresh, with Aqueous beginning the run on the 28th, the always beautiful Hayley Jane and the Primates slated for the 29th, and Strange Machines warming up on the 30th. The doors are scheduled for 8 p.m., and if last year’s run at the same venue is any indication of what’s in store, this will be a weekend to be remembered.
Below is a video of the tour opener, a salute to Canadian prog rock titans Rush.
