Woods Playing Ithaca

Psychedelic roots-rockers Woods will make a rare jaunt to Upstate New York Thursday night when they come to The Haunt in Ithaca. The quintet will be opening a lengthy tour that will work a month in Europe in between two stints stateside that will take them coast to coast. The band is touring behind their recently released 9th album, City Sun Eater in the River of Light, a groovy and tight amalgam of all the influences they’ve amassed over the years, from folk to funk to jazz and bending beyond, with lead singer Jeremy Earl’s distinctive falsetto a constant throughout.
