The SummerStage Summer Concert Preview Series launched in January with monthly showcases of the talent performing at SummerStage this season. The final show takes place April 20 at Subrosa and features Brooklyn-born and bred vocalist and composer Tamar-kali.

Tamar-kali, with the help of her five-piece band, has created her own unique sound. She was featured in the documentary “AfroPunk” and Focus Films’ award-winning “Pariah” with performances and contributions to the soundtrack. She has performed internationally and has shared the stage with a diverse group of artists, including Paramore, Fishbone, Jean Grae and the Roots.

SummerStage, now in its 31st year, is New York’s largest free performing arts festival featuring more than 100 performances at 16 different parks across all five boroughs of New York City. Performances range from popular, Latin and world music to theater, dance and spoken word.

Tomorrow’s show starts at 8:30. Tickets, available now, are $10 in advance or $15 at the door.
