It’s Cold Gin Time Again – KISS Announces Summer Tour

Get ready to rock and roll all night! KISS is back on tour this summer. The godfathers of shock rock
and one of rock’s most exciting live acts have announced an array of shows for summer into early fall. The tour is called Freedom To Rock and is scheduled to kick off July 7 at Taco Bell Arena in Boise Idaho.  The 36 dates wind throughout the country, hitting cities KISS has never or rarely visited, and wrap September 10 in Huntington, West Virginia. The sole New York stop on the tour is August 29 at Rochester’s Blue Cross Arena.

Caleb Johnson, the season thirteen American Idol winner, is the opening act from July 7 to August 9. The Dead Daisies serve as the opening band from August 10 to September 10. The current incarnation of KISS includes original members Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley, joined by Eric Singer and Tommy Thayer; each have been in the band for over ten years.

KISS offered the following description of the upcoming tour on the band’s Facebook page:

The KISS Freedom To Rock Tour will bring epic rock to 25+ cities it hasn’t been to in over 10+ years and four brand new cities as well. KISS specifically wanted to take the Freedom To Rock Tour to its fans in markets that haven’t had the chance to see them in some time or ever at all. This 36+ city tour will rock those markets and allow fans across the country to see America’s favorite rock band of all time, KISS.

General public on-sale begins April 15. Signing up for the free KISS email newsletter is the easiest way to stay up to date on the tour.
