The Taste of Syracuse Festival turns 20 this year. Organizers have thrown in a trick to go along with the treats. This year’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Cheap Trick is headlining this year’s food fest the first weekend in June.
Cheap Trick is touring sheds this summer as part of the Three for All tour with Heart and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts with appearances at SPAC and Darien Lake. The one-off Syracuse stop marks the band’s first appearance since performing at the 2014 New York State Fair with Journey.
Rockford, Illinois’ favorite sons will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn April 8, one week after the release of their new album, Bang Zoom Crazy…Hello.
Taste of Syracuse is a free annual event held in Clinton Square, featuring three stages of local and national musicians as well as a plethora of food offerings from Syracuse and the surrounding area. The 20th anniversary edition takes place June 3 and 4 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Admission is free but food and drinks will cost you. Many of the food vendors set up throughout the square offer free samples of their products.
More acts will be announced as the dates draw near. NYS Music will be there to bring you all the action.
