Dark Star Orchestra Tour Includes 3 New York Dates

Dark Star Orchestra will head out on a summer tour, primarily up and down the East Coast, with stops in Utica, Rochester and Brooklyn.

Dark Star Orchestra’s Summer Tour 2016 kicks off in their hometown of Chicago on June 25, ending nearly two months later on Aug. 14 in Portland, Maine. After a couple nights in the Midwest and two nights in Colorado, they head east for the majority of their tour up and down the coast.

The tour hits New York on July 24 at the Saranac Brewery in Utica. After a day off, they return to Frontier Field in Rochester on July 26. They return to the state at the end of the month on July 31 to play the Coney Island Amphitheater in Brooklyn.

In addition to the New York dates, Dark Star Orchestra makes several other stops in the Northeast. They play two nights at Jay Peak Resort in Jay, Vermont July 22 and 23. They’ll be at the College Street Music Hall in New Haven, Connecticut on July 28. On July 30, they hit up the Pat Garrett Amphitheatre in Strausstown, Pennsylvania. After about two weeks through the southern states, they return to the Northeast for four consecutive nights to play the Peach Music Festival in Scranton, Pennsylvania on Aug. 11, then on to Mercer County Park in West Windsor, New Jersey on Aug. 12; Indian Ranch in Webster, Massachusetts on Aug. 13; and Maine State Pier in Portland, Maine on Aug. 14.

Dark Star Orchestra is best known for their recreation of entire Grateful Dead concerts, while occasionally playing an original setlist. Tickets for their tour are on sale now.
