Buffalo’s own the Goo Goo Dolls have announced that they will head out on the road this summer and tour the United States, stopping in more than 40 different cities across the nation.
The multi-platinum-selling recording artists will tour in support of their 11th studio album Boxes, due out in this spring.
Coming along to help support the tour and open shows will be Collective Soul and Tribe Society.
Edgefield, in Portland, Oregon will get the tour started, and it will come to a stop in Las Vegas at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center in mid September.
Three New York fan favorite summer venues will see the tour come through the state in August: Nikon at Jones Beach in Wantagh on Aug. 12, Darien Lake Performing Arts Center in Darien Center on Aug. 20, and the Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga Springs on Aug 21.
The Goo Goo Dolls have sold more than 10 million albums worldwide since their debut in 1986 and have 19 top 10 singles throughout various singles charts. Their smash hit single “Iris” not only put the band in the mainstream spotlight, it also set a record on the Billboard Hot 100 Airplay chart for appearing straight 18 weeks and 4 weeks at No. 1 on the Pop charts.
Collective Soul hit mainstream success with their first single “Shine.” Collective Soul has seen seven of their singles hit No. 1 on the rock charts. Collective Soul’s ninth studio album, See What You Started by Continuing, was released in fall of 2015.
