The jam-heavy lineup for the sixth annual Disc Jam Music Festival features other big names in the scene and returning acts, including Kung Fu, Pink Talking Fish, The Jauntee and Consider the Source, who will play a Radiohead set. Local favorites Formula 5 and Teddy Midnight will also return this year. The festival will feature two main stages that will showcase a variety of musical stylings, along with a wooded late night stage, which is new this year.

The lineup features many impressive newcomers to Disc Jam, including Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, TAUK, Govinda and Jive Street. Rapper Cappadonna of the Wu-Tang Clan, Space Jesus and Congo Sanchez, featuring Jeff Franca of Thievery Corporation, will also play the festival for the first time.

Those looking for an early leak of the lineup were greeted with Chris Farley dancing all over the Disc Jam website.

Disc Jam will have plenty of non-musical entertainment for attendees, including a foam dome for soapy dance parties and a game tent with a dunk tank, carnival games and a pool table. Daily yoga classes will be held during the festival, and interactive art will pop up around the festival grounds throughout the weekend. Staying true to their name, a disc golf tournament will take place with prizes from Innova and Vibram Disc Golf.

Camping this year will be expanded to include forest camping under the trees in addition to the usual car camping. A new VIP experience will be offered this year, with hotel rooms and shuttles to and from the festival ground. VIP ticket holders will also receive wireless headphones that can be plugged into a direct soundboard feed to provide a unique listening experience.

Disc Jam takes place June 9 to 12 at Gardner’s Farm in Stephentown. Tickets are on sale now at the Disc Jam website.
