Update: Slipknot Summer Tour to Unleash Hell on NY

Updated 2/29/2016: Maggots of North America Slipknot has officially announced plans for their summer tour with Marilyn Manson and Of Mice & Men.

Slipknot will make three stops in New York: Nikon at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh on July 6, the Lakeview Amphitheater in Syracuse on July 23 and the Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga Springs on July 24.

Pre-sale tickets go on sale March 2 for Slipknot fan club members and to the general public on March 4 at 10 a.m.

Corey Taylor will also launch a new radio show on Apple Music’s Beats 1. The Slipknot frontman’s show will be titled A Series of Bleeps with Corey Taylor, with the first installment to air Wednesday March 2 at 7 p.m. PT. In this series, fans can see Taylor’s show explore a theme with his favorite tracks from various music genres including metal, rock, rap and more.

If you think rock is dead, think again.

2016 is not only loaded with the usual returning rock festivals, but many new festivals have popped up as well across the nation for this calendar year, even spawning in some areas that very rarely get to experience a festival-like atmosphere. Rock festivals are finding their way into every nook and cranny across America.

To go along with all the festivals this year, 2016 is becoming loaded with some major headlining tours throughout spring and summer, pairing up many big names in the genre. Well rock fans, things are not about to slow down as another major concert tour has been announced.

Slipknot has now thrown their masks in the ring and will pack up the bus and hit the road on a 34-city summer tour. Joining Slipknot on the road will be the Antichrist superstar himself Marilyn Manson and Orange County, California, natives Of Mice and Men.

Ever since Slipknot’s name appeared on the 2016 Rock Fest and Rock USA festival posters, rumors started making waves about a possible summer tour.

Slipknot has announced the cities that will get the chance to see hell come alive, but asked fans to stay tuned for actual dates and ticket information. Loudwire reports that Slipknot is promising to push the limits on their stage show for this tour.

Slipknot’s fifth studio album, .5: The Gray Chapter, continues to get support from another tour. Last summer, Slipknot toured with Lamb of God, Bullet For My Valentine and Motionless In White on the Summer’s Last Stand Tour.

New Yorkers can catch the tour at some of the state’s usual summer stomping grounds for live music including Saratoga Springs, Syracuse and Wantagh.
