Soul Brass Band will be in Woodstock on Friday, Feb. 5 for a two-part, New Orleans-style Mardis Gras celebration. Feb. 6 features a “Mardis Gras Dance Party” at Bearsville Theater.
Soul Brass Band will lead a New Orleans-style second line down Tinker St. in Woodstock on Feb. 5. The music starts at 4 p.m. on the Woodstock Village Green when the band followed by all who wish to join will parade down to Catskill Mountain Pizza. Sound Out Collective will shoot a video of the action. Later that evening, Soul Brass Band will play a show at Bearsville Theater. Doors open at 7 p.m., and jambalaya and gumbo will be served to all attendees. The show starts at 9. Following the band, there will be a late-night DJ set until 2 a.m.
The celebration continues at Bearsville Theater on Saturday, Feb. 6 with a Mardis Gras Dance Party with DJ Rick of WKZE’s “Up and Running Morning Show” and DJ Susan of WKZE’s “Saturday Gumbo.” Doors open at 7 p.m. and, once again, jambalaya and gumbo will be served for all attendees.
