The Nights Lights Music Festival announced the festival’s 2016 dates via Facebook. The three-day festival will take place Aug. 25 to 27 at the Blue Heron grounds in Sherman.
The August dates are a move from the festival’s previous September roots. Organizers hope that the earlier dates will help negate the inclement weather that has plagued the festival over the last two years.
Blind faith tickets for the Night Lights Music Festival will go on sale within the next two weeks. Although final pricing details have yet to be announced, blind faith tickets are expected to cost around a $50 price point and are expected to sell out.
The festival has enjoyed a variety of artists throughout its six-year history. Previous artists include Dopapod, The Werks, Snarky Puppy, Turkuaz, Marco Benavento, Jimkata, Consider the Source and RJD2. The festival also offers a celebration of the music of Western New York including Aqueous, Funktional Flow and Lazlo Holyfield.
In addition to music, Night Lights offers a variety of daily activities and LED art installations throughout the festival grounds. The campgrounds offer a small, intimate camping and festival experience.
Initial lineup announcements are expected in March.
