Hot off the heels of the release of their new EP, Captives (out January 15), Baltimore’s AMFMS will embark on a winter tour that kicks off at the Bug Jar in Rochester. The 4-track EP, available to stream over at Exclaim, showcases the bands penchant for blending spirited guitars, haunting vocal harmonies, and driving beats that’ll get all four of your limbs moving.

With a name that harkens to the glory days of radio, the AMFMS don’t actually sound much like anything that was ever too popular on the dial. Come tune in and rock out at the Bug Jar this Wednesday January 20. The doors open at 8pm, and the music will get going around 9pm. Rochester indie-rockers Frends are also on the bill, with one or two other local acts yet to be announced. Tickets are $6 for 21+ and $8 for the under crowd.
