Some big news for hard rock fans upstate: A new, three-day camping rock festival is coming to the Schaghticoke Fairgrounds May 20-22, 2016.
Rock ‘n Derby, as the festival is called, looks promising to bring quite the experience to the Fairgrounds. The quiet farm town will be serenaded for three days by the likes of Five Finger Death Punch, Megadeth, Shinedown, Halestorm, Lamb of God, Trivium and dozens more.
A three-day festival wouldn’t be complete without things to do aside from the music. A demolition derby in the theme and character of the weekend will take to the track with a $10,000 prize. There will also be professional wrestling from GameChangerWrestling, and of course food trucks and proper amenities.
For those hanging out for all three days of the festival, camping in the forms of tent, RV and car will be available located near the main parking area.
Tickets are on sale now on Eventbrite. Several options exist for tickets – they aren’t exclusive to just the whole weekend. Single and multi-day passes are available, discounted for kids under 12. Tickets are also available for just the demolition derby portion of the weekend. VIP packages are available as well.
