Hybrid tribute band Pink Talking Fish will hit the road mid December for a 26-date tour that kicks offs in Orlando and closes out with a free show at Sugarloaf Mountain in Maine. But there are some good points, some bad points: While most stops are in the warmer-weather states or on the West Coast, PTF has included at least a few shows in the Northeast.
Think of New York City, big city, dark in the daytime (especially during winter), for the New Year’s Day post-Phish show at the Highline Ballroom, or New Haven, Hartford, Portsmouth, Stowe, Baltimore and Washington D.C.
The four-member outfit—Eric Gould on bass, Richard James on keyboards, Zack Burwick on drums and Dave Brunyak on guitar—experienced a bust-out year with a momentous tour, festival sets and other events. PTF plans to continue breaking further into the jam circuit, and this tour features a few firsts for the band, including stops in the Southeast states South Carolina and Alabama.
So find yourself a city to see PTF this winter and get just a little phreaked out to beat the winter blues. And if you want to get the party started early, check out two sets of PTF this Saturday, Nov. 28, at Electric Haze in Worcester, Mass. for the first annual Thanksgiving Feastival.
