O.A.R to Play Palace Theater in Albany

Maryland indie rockers O.A.R will return to the capital region this winter, as Albany’s Palace Theater has announced that the band will grace the theater stage on Thursday, Feb. 11.

The You Pick The Set Tour gives O.A.R. fans a unique experience where they will get to submit a song wish list that they want to hear while they purchase their tickets for the event.

O.A.R.

O.A.R is known for their intense, vivid live shows and communal feeling between the band and its fans.

For those of you New York O.A.R. fans who can’t wait until February, O.A.R. will play shows on Dec. 27 at the Paramount in Huntington and Dec. 28 at the Capital Theatre in Port Chester.

O.A.R.’s eighth studio album The Rockville LP was released in 2014. Singer and guitarist Marc Roberge talked in a press release about the new LP and capturing the “live” feel:

It comes the closest. Every live band I know will always want nothing more than to carry their live performance onto the album. It’s an elusive thing to capture, so I’ll never say we nailed it. But I can guarantee we put that same live show energy and passion into each minute of The Rockville LP and we can only hope the audience feels that.

There will be four different ticket prices for the event. Tickets will cost $59.75, $49.75, $39.75 and $29.75. Presale tickets go on sale Nov. 17, and to the general public on Friday, Nov. 20, at noon.  Fans can get tickets at the Palace Box Office and through Ticketmaster.
