For the third consecutive year, Mysteryland USA will return to Bethel Woods Center for the Arts.
Launched in the United States in 2014, the nomadic electronic music, culture and arts festival is scheduled for June 10–13 at the iconic Woodstock ’69 grounds in Bethel. With other editions hosted in Chile and the Netherlands, the stateside incarnation of the traveling festival has garnered a combined audience of more than 50,000.
Mysteryland, produced by ID&T of Tomorrowland fame, offers festivalgoers a “culturally immersive and engaging experience” guaranteed to overload the senses and exposure to emerging artisans from a kaleidoscope of mediums. And due to the exploding dance festival scene, event organizers announced that the summer 2016 Upstate New York event has been expanded to three days. Also new this year, the general admission age restriction has been lifted to 19; VIP areas and the Holy Ground campsite remain 21 and up.
While the lineup of collaborators has yet to be announced, previous years have featured a roundup of rising artists like Brooklyn-based electronic music producer Space Jesus to mainstage headliners like acclaimed DJ Diplo. Here’s a 20-track playlist from Mysteryland 2015:
Those who attended the past two festivals can purchase exclusive Loyalty Sale weekend passes ($169 each) or weekend passes plus camping ($254 each). The pre-sale ends at 11:59 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13. The dance-music fete has special packages available that include two three-day passes, premium camping location with pre-set tent (starting at $799). An added bonus for all attendees, charging lockers can be purchased inside the venue and campgrounds to protect valuables and power up electronic devices.
