Dark Star Orchestra to Close Out a Week Long Dead Celebration in Buffalo on Friday November 13

Dark Star Orchestra will pay a visit to The Town Ballroom in Buffalo Friday, November 13. The group which is best known for recreating the sound and continuing the “Dead experience” of The Grateful Dead is closing out a week that is chock full of bands playing throughout the Buffalo scene, most notably Dead and Company who played at The First Niagara Center on Wednesday. DSO last played in Buffalo at the same venue to a sell out crowd when they opened their tour last year, so you can expect the same magnitude in attendance as the band is very well received by the Buffalo Deadheads.

Dark Star Orchestra is celebrating its 18th year of performing this week, in addition to their 2500th show on November 18 with a show at The House of Blues in Boston, MA. DSO has surpassed the amount of shows then the Dead did in their 30-year career, quite an accomplishment to have done it in nearly half the time.

DSO will remain busy throughout the new year as they will be ringing in 2016 with a very special performance at the Electric Factory in Philadelphia, PA on December 30 & 31. The event will involve some fan involvement that includes a costume contest, fan participation and cirque performers. Tickets for New Years Eve are available here.

Following New Years 2016, Dark Star Orchestra will return to Jamaica for their fourth incursion of the Jam in the Sand Festival on January 19-23. More details can be found at the events webpage.
