Ever have that unstoppable urge to get down and dance as though humans were never given the gift of sight? After Funk and The New Daze will be providing Funk ‘N Waffles Downtown with some of the catchiest, soul-fortifying, funkin’ fantastic rhythmic dance tunes on Saturday Oct. 24.
Canadian group After Funk will be supporting the recent release of their new record ‘Til The Sun Comes Up. The band features Yanick Allwood (keys/vocals), Jaime Rosenberg (drums), Justin Bontje (bass) and Phil Tessis (guitar). Allwood’s warm vocals help give the band its unique flair, with some Stevie Wonder flavor mixed into their soulful spicy stew.
Local syracuse four-man group The New Daze is composed of Max Flansburg (guitar/vocals), Jamie Knittel (bass/vocals), Steve Graff (drums) and Erik Hoffman (keys). They have shared the stage with such acts as Badfish and Subsoil and have played at numerous underground shows and lesser known festivals honing their unique brand of funky jam grooves.
