Tour Dates: Umphrey’s Winter/Spring 2016 Announced

Jam favorites Umphrey’s McGee have announced an extensive US winter/spring tour featuring New York’s own instrumental wizards TAUK.

Never a stranger to touring, the Chicago based Umphrey’s will hit dates across the country for their Jan-March itinerary. Umphrey’s is touring behind two recent releases — the 2014 Hall of Fame album which features top fan chosen jams from last years tour, and The London Sessions, a recording of familiar songs, covers and more from London’s famed Abbey Road Studios.

Opening support will be provided for most shows by the NYC based outfit TAUK — an instrumental quartet that’s been garnering critical acclaim and accumulating audiences across the country. TAUK features Matt Jalbert (guitar), Charlie Dolan (bass), Alric “A.C.” Carter (keyboard-organ), and Isaac Teel (drums). Other tour support will be provided by The Motet (Feb. 19), and saxophone wizard Joshua Redman on select dates.

The Umph will start out 2016 with a three night stand at NYC’s Beacon Theatre Jan 21-23. Tickets for these shows will sell out soon — grab them now. New York will also get a Feb. 6 show at Albany’s Palace Theatre. Check out the whole tour below.
