Half of the reunion-in-waiting Russo/Benevento Duo, key-master Marco Benevento is making a stop in Buffalo as a part of a short nine date October swing. Benevento’s now-regular backing band includes fellow JRAD bandmate and former Ween bassist Dave Dreiwitz, along with drummer Andrew Borger. Benevento blends a knack for extremely catchy hooks, impressive technical skill and loose wild improvisations that always make for a fun live show.

All-girl trio And the Kids, called one of “the Western Mass. indie scene’s brightest creative lights” by Pitchfork, will open the show. Vocalist Hannah Mohan recently sat in with Benevento at his appearance this summer at the Green River Festival.

Don’t miss this “Real Morning Party” at the Iron Works in Buffalo this Tuesday, Oct. 20. Doors will open at 8pm and the music will get started around 9pm. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door.
