Updated: Seventh Annual Aura Music and Arts Festival Announces Second Phase of Lineup

Brotherly Love Productions has announced the first phase of bands for the 2016 edition of the Aura Music and Arts Festival at Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Florida, March 3-5.

The initial announcement of bands to play the festival features New York-based Turkuaz and Aqueous. The Disco Biscuits are your Phase One headliners.

Also included on the bill are Bay Area feel-good rock band ALO, high-energy funk quintet The Main Squeeze, The Heavy Pets with a special tribute to the ‘80s featuring Trey Anastasio Band horn players Jennifer Hartswick and Natalie Cressman, hybrid tribute fusion masters Pink Talking Fish, Tom Hamilton’s American Babies, the southern psychedelia of Bright Light Social Hour and Holly Bowling.

A limited run of pre-sale general admission and VIP tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 5, with prices starting at $129 for  general admission and $275 for VIP. These prices also include camping for the weekend. There will also be day tickets for each day of the festival in 2016, for $80 per day.

The picturesque Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park has more than 600 improved campsites and 800 acres of primitive camping tucked in among the the oak and hemlock trees along the Suwannee River. For more information, visit the festival’s website.

Update (Dec. 9): The second wave of artists playing the Aura Music & Arts Festival have been announced. The latest update includes New York City’s Snarky Puppy and Ithaca’s Jimkata. Thievery Corporation are the second wave headliners. Other newly added artists include The New Deal, Particle, The Werks, the Mike Dillon Band and The Fritz. Also added to the lineup is NUNCHUCK, featuring Mike Dillon and members of Turkuaz and Dopapod.

In addition to the new artists, the Silent Disco and ENO Lotus Lounge acts were announced. These include Telekinetic Walrus, MZG, Mineo Loops and Bells and Robes. Side projects from members of Dopapod, The Heavy Pets and Jimkata will also be included in the Silent Disco.

Early bird tickets are still available for $129 for a GA weekend pass and $275 for a VIP pass until Dec. 13 at midnight when prices will increase.
