Elise Testone to Play Amy Winehouse Tribute Shows in NYC

American Idol finalist Elise Testone will present her “Thankful For Amy” All-Star Tribute to Amy Winehouse on Nov. 28 at B.B. Kings in New York City.
Testone will perform two separate tribute shows, with the first set starting at 9:30 p.m. and the second at 11:30 p.m. Tickets for each show will cost $12 in advance and $15 day of show.

Testone, who finished sixth place on the 11th season of American Idol has assembled an all-star lineup for the show.
Testone will be joined on stage by Natalie Cressman (trombone, Trey Anastasio Band), Chris Bullock (saxophone, Snarky Puppy), Michael “Maz” Maher (trumpet, Snarky Puppy), Adam Fallen (guitar), Trey Cooper (keyboard), Jed Lingat (bass), Leroy “Lefty Lee” Thompson (drums), and Sami Stevens (backing vocals).
Testone recently released a new music video for her single “Now.”
She has been privately studying music since the early age of 5. Exposed to the likes of Motown, The Beatles and Queen, Elise began singing in local coffeehouses in her teens. Testone graduated from Coastal Carolina University in 2005 with a Vocal Performance degree.
Testone released her first studio album, In This Life, in 2014. Elise has made several television shows since AI including The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Live with Kelly, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Access Hollywood, Good Day New York and Good Morning America and many more. Testone’s music has been compared to Led Zeppelin, Janis Joplin, Lauryn Hill, Ella Fitzgerald and James Brown.
 
Originally from South Carolina, Testone now resides in Brooklyn and performs original music with her band. Testone can also be seen performing with The James Brown Dance Party.
