After invading record stores at select locations across the country with acoustic performances, Ghost is now ready to get their North America tour started this September. Touring on behalf of their recent release Meliora, the six-piece band lead by singer Papa Emeritus III is hitting the road on their “Black To The Future” tour.
Starting on Sept. 22, Ghost invades The Fillmore in Washington, D.C. After that, the band stops in Columbus and Pittsburgh before coming to Terminal 5 in New York City. After a few more stops in the Northeast, the tour heads west, where it wraps up with a festival appearance in Phoenix at the Monster Mash Festival.
Releasing their third album Meliora on Aug. 21, these Swedish rockers are only getting bigger and better as time goes on. Singles “Cirice,” “From The Pinnacle To The Pit” and “Majesty” are only a scratch of the surface of what a solid record Meliora is. Marked as “a ritual not to miss,” Ghost is already selling out venues on the tour. The first show to sell out so far is Sept. 29 in Philadelphia.
Tickets are still available for other shows and all the information can be found on Ghost’s website. As an added bonus, select dates on this tour come with a downloadable copy of Meliora with the purchase of a ticket. For more information on that, fans are asked to check with the local promoter for the show.
*Tour support will be proto-metal band Purson*
