Rodrigo y Gabriela at The Capitol Theater June 19

Rodrigo y Gabriela are well-known for their finger-style guitar virtuosity. With their latest release 9 Dead Alive, the duo has proven they still have a fire blazing in their guitars. Their sound is distinct — influenced by flamenco, heavy metal, and rock — and ranges in dynamic from traditional to aggressive.

This Friday June 19, The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY plays host to Rodrigo y Gabriela for one of only two stops they will make in the Northeast. Joining them for an opening set is the Kansas City mother-son modern soul folk duo Madisen Ward and the Mama Bear. If you have not heard of them, that’s alright. They only recently released their debut album Skeleton Crew but have been warmly received by the music community and even just performed at Bonnaroo this past weekend.

The evening of duos starts at 8pm, with doors at 7pm. The show is 18 and over and tickets are still available from The Capitol Theatre’s website.
