Elise Testone Presents Celebrating The King Of Blues: An AllStar Tribute for B.B. King at Brooklyn Bowl

Songrwriter Elise Testone will be joined by an all-star cast for a tribute to blues guitar legend B.B. King at Brooklyn Bowl on August 18. The band will consist of Jennifer Hartswick (trumpet, Trey Anastasio Band), Natalie Cressman (trombone, Trey Anastasio Band), Chris Bullock (saxophone, Snarky Puppy), Danny Mayer (guitar, Alan Evans Trio/On The Spot Trio), Beau Sasser (keyboard, Alan Evans Trio/Kung Fu), Antoine Katz (bass, Jennah Bell), Eric Kalb (drummer, Sharon Jones/John Scofield/Deep Banana Blackout) and special guests .

Elise Testone and her band will perform two sets beginning at 8 p.m. The first will feature an original set of blues, funk, and neosoul and second will consist of songs paying tribute to B.B. King. Tickets are $10, and are available at www.brooklynbowl.com. Elise Testone was exposed to music that ranged from Motown and the Beatles to Queen, and she began studying privately at the age of 5, excelling and performing publicly at local coffeehouses through her teens. Eventually graduating from Coastal Carolina University with a Vocal Performance degree, Testone came of age as a professional performer and private educator in Charleston, S.C., becoming one of the most seasoned and well-respected musicians in town. At the age of 27 she was approached by a scout from American Idol and became a finalist on the hit show in 2012. Testone lives in Brooklyn, N.Y., and performs her original music with her own band as well as the James Brown Dance Party.
