As Friday, June 12 quickly approaches, I am giddy with excitement for the upcoming Taste of Country Music Festival 2015. After all, I’ve been counting down the days since Tim McGraw’s face flashed upon the jumbotron, and the crowd went wild. As if it couldn’t get any better, the headliners announced to join Tim for the weekend has Keith Urban kicking things off Friday night and Toby Keith closing things down Sunday evening. Then throw in some of the today’s favorite country music musicians in the middle of this festival sandwich and you have one hell of a musical meal.
With two stages set up for simultaneous audio overload, Friday’s lineup is bound to set the tone and ramp up those arriving with some hard rocking country artists.

5:30pm – Rachel Lipsky

6pm – Colt Ford

Making things as easy as possible for festival goers, the TofC app is easily downloaded for both android and iPhone users and I highly recommend downloading to keep your schedule straight.
For those that have already purchased their wristbands, they will begin shipping May 15th and will ship through May 29th. You will receive a UPS Tracking Number once shipped to keep track of their arrival to you. Any wristbands purchased after May 29th will be available to be picked up at Will Call (located at Topps Friendly Market 6250 Main Street, Tannersville, NY 12495). Arriving with your wristbands will be instructions for activating them, camping, parking, and general instructions for the easiest arrival and set up ever. Have to say these folks have things covered beautifully to make sure your arrival and weekend fun go smoothly.
For those with camping passes planning to arrive early Thursday night, you will once again be treated to a Thursday night campground party on the Bud Lite Stage with early performances from LOCASH, Rachel Lipsky, and Dylan Scott. Load in starts at noon Thursday and gives you ample time for set up before heading over for the first show at 6pm.
Only coming in for the day? There are several ways to take in one, two, or all three days. Festival goers can purchase tickets for individual days, weekend passes, weekend passes with camping (limited) and Shuttle Passes to get to and from. From past experience, I highly recommend the way to travel in if staying off site would be to purchase the shuttle pass, park and ride right up the mountain. It drops you right at the entrance and picks you up throughout the evening at the same local.
First festival? Wondering what to bring? NYSMusic has you covered. After years and years of attending festivals, our staff has compiled a list of their favorite items they never leave home without. Taste of Country has also provided a list of items you should and should not bring in. Make sure you take a peek at both before leaving home for the weekend.
Whether you’re staying on site camping or off site at a local establishment, take the time to arrive early enough to browse the amazing vendors and activities set up throughout. Last years event introduced this country gal to some amazing eats, treats, and no matter where I went or looked, there was something interesting to spy everywhere I turned. Looking forward to really immersing myself into the event this year, I hope when you see me (I’ll be the blonde gal with the NYSMusic.com t-shirt and/or camera) you take the time to say hello and grab a pic. Who knows, your mug may make a photo gallery.
