The former “Green Mountain Harness Track” is transforming into what will be “a premier event venue set in one of Vermont’s most scenic valleys” named “Green Mountain Live” (GML). A portion of the property is leased to a solar farm that generates 2.2 megawatts annually through Green Mountain Energy and will allow The Full Tilt Boogie (TFTB) to be the first sustainable music festival where electricity will be generated on site! GML is lead by socially-conscious investors who invite music lovers, families and the community to help “Build The Tradition With Us!”.
The venue has a extensive website that tells the complete history of the grounds and plans for it’s future. Having hosted Lollapalooza in 1996 and a wide variety of special events, this Green venue not only has a bright future, but will be a benchmark for other venues in environmental and social attitudes.
TFTB is surely taking it’s name to heart by featuring headliners ZZ Top, Blackberry Smoke, Gary Clarke Jr., Albany’s own Wild Adriatic and much more. Scheduled for Aug. 22, 2015, this general admission festival will provide food trucks and beer gardens to satiate attendees with special V.I.P. passes available for all of you high-rolling trustafarians! Gates open at 10:00 am, so plan to get there early for a huge day of music and revelry in the spectacular Green Mountains of Vermont.
