Music festivals build a community as they grow, contributing to the desire to attend festivals regardless of distance, lineup, and cost. When a festival brings a community together, the festival takes on a different vibe altogether. Adding to the community and culture of this year’s Disc Jam Music Festival is Flow Tribe.
Disc Jam Flow Tribe was started shortly before NYE 2013, formed through a video contest that brought together hoopers through auditions and networking with friends. Co-founder, coordinator and Flow Tribe mama Jazmin Jade noted the group’s workshops at Disc Jam, and their performance at Disc Jam Presents New Year’s, in Worcester this past year.
This year at Disc Jam, Flow Tribe will have special fire dancing routines performing throughout the weekend, various workshops and VIP performances. Jade enthusiastically shared, “We are really excited and can’t wait to share with everyone!!”
Disc Jam Flow Tribe also performs fire dancing, contact staff, juggling, spinning poi, combining music with aerialists and stilt-walkers, creating a big circus family vibe for Disc Jam.
If you want to become involved with the Disc Jam Flow Tribe, Jazmin Jade invites fellow performers to come attend Flow Tribe events, workshops, and flow jams, as well as any auditions that may be announced through the group’s Facebook page.
