Seether Returning to Rapids Theatre May 5

This coming Tuesday, May 5, Seether will be performing in Niagara Falls at the legendary Rapids Theatre. Located at 1711 Main St. in downtown Niagara Falls. The multi-platinum South African rock band had just released their sixth full-length album Isolate and Medicate. The album title came from the way Shaun and the band wrote the songs. He described himself being isolated and medicated when he was writing some of these songs. Fun fact Seether had finished recording this album in sixteen days. This album is the driving force behind their 2015 tour, which kicked off April 30 in Cincinnati, Ohio.

The Rise Above Fest is a charity festival founded by Seether in 2012 to raise awareness of suicide prevention and mental health. This is an online auction on Bidding for Good to support their efforts. Auction items include a signed guitar from The Offspring, an REO Speedwagon signed drum head and more. This is something close to Shaun’s heart because he personally deals with Manic Depression.

Sea Dog Brewery in Bangor, Maine will be releasing a special beer for the month of May called Rise Above Red with a portion of the proceeds going towards Suicide Awareness Voices of Education or SAVE. On May 8 they’ll be hosting The Rise Above Fest Pre party where fans get a chance to hang and drink with the band all night! You can participate in the Rise Above Fest by donating to Seether’s online fundraising campaign via Crowdrise .

So whether you’ve only recently heard of Seether or you’re a long time listener, the trio rock band will not leave you disappointed. Everyone can find a song by them starting and find it relatable to their life, and find appreciation within the band. Speaking from personal experience I’ve seen them live twice and have been left with some sort of wow factor that I will talk about for days. I hope to see you there for a captivating night of hard rock in your face music!
