Grateful Dead Fare Thee Well Pay Per View Coming

Grateful Dead fans who can’t attend the Fare Thee Well: Celebrating 50 Years of Grateful Dead runs will be able to watch the shows at home.

The three Chicago shows, July 3 through 5, will be broadcast pay-per-view-style via Live Alliance, according to Rolling Stone.

Those shows plus the two in Santa Clara, California, on June 27 and 28, will stream online. It will cost $79.95 to purchase all five webcasts. With all shows way sold out at this point – fans now have a chance to enjoy the farewell world wide. No information has yet to be provided as to whether the PPV is an additional cost or included with the web cast bundle.

The Chicago run will also be broadcast in movie theaters around the country. The pay-per-view broadcast will include interviews, a short documentary by Bill Kreutzmann’s son Justin, and other special features during set break. No steel cage matches have been announced yet.
