Neil Young and Promise of the Real announce Summer Tour and Studio Album release.

More big news rocks the free world and it’s every bit of exciting as it sounds! Neil Young and Promise of the Real – featuring Lukas and Micah Nelson – have announced the Rebel Content Tour for this summer including two nights at Red Rocks in Colorado and stops at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, Nikon at Jones Beach Theater, and Champlain Valley Expo in Vermont. So far, the tour has 12 dates and hits up major cities along the east coast, midwest, and the WayHome Music & Arts Festival in Canada.

Sons of Willie Nelson, Lukas and Micah, front the LA-based rock band which have also performed with their famous father and Neil on a number of previous occasions. Promise of the Real also consists of Anthony Logerfo (drums), Corey McCormick (bass) and Tato Melgar (percussion).

Fans of both Neil Young and Promise of the Real will be excited to know that they paired together for a new studio album titled The Monsanto Years, and are releasing it on June 16 via Reprise Records. The digital album can be purchased among major online distributors including Young’s Online Music store and physical copies of CD and vinyl will be available on Young’s official web store.

The Rebel Content Tour kicks off on July 5 at Summerfest in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Tickets for the Tour will go on sale May 1 at 10 CT.  Ticket holders will also be given the choice to own physical copies of the The Monsanto Years, via standard CD or digital copy.
