Metal Fights Cancer: A Benefit for St. Jude Hospital

brian

On Friday, March 20, longtime WNY show promoter, Brian Pattison, and the Rockin’ Buffalo Saloon in West Seneca, NY are teaming up with some local metal bands to raise money for cancer patients. Joining the crusade are Armageddon (impressive young thrash metal from Buffalo, age range: 12-18), Tyranitar (melodic Viking themed metal from Rochester), Enthauptung (black metal from Buffalo), Aspired Infliction (melodic metal from Buffalo), Seven Faces (rock metal from Buffalo) and Weaponex (progressive rock metal from Buffalo).

There will be some door prizes and gift baskets to be raffled off as part of the charity event and drink specials as well.

Rockin’ Buffalo Saloon is located at 1800 Union Rd. in West Seneca, NY. Doors are at 7 pm and music starts at 8pm.

Brian will also be hosting another cancer benefit for his dear friend, Jennifer Rinaldo at Rockin’ Buffalo on the following night with Buffalo bands, Throne of Wilderness (folk metal), Reverie (hardcore) and Budokan (Brian’s Cheap Trick cover band with other local scene veterans). I will be attending and reviewing both shows. My preview for the Jennifer Rinaldo benefit will be posted shortly after this article.
