EXCLUSIVE: JCHA Debut “Dying in Leather” Ahead of Release Show

Saratoga Springs heavy rockers JCHA are primed to release their new EP, Cosmic Annihilation. (For the uninitiated – JCHA is short for Jesus Christ and the Hallucinogenic Allstars.) Their infectious blend of heavy riff rock blended with stoner sludge metal has been making waves on the local circuit and they are poised to turn heads and drop jaws all over the world.

The release show will be held at the Putnam Den in Saratoga Springs, NY and will feature hard rocking Dead Superstar from Long Island NY, and the incomparable Bobaflex headlining.

JCHA is Jon Imbo on guitar, Dustin Alexander on bass and vocals, Ross Kelch on drums, and Jacob Pederson – their onstage witch doctor. The band was gracious enough to debut a brand new track from their upcoming EP here on NYSMusic. “Dying in Leather” gives you small taste from the full stash the band will sling you on March 18th.

The overall recording process went smoothly, as told by Jason Brown of JBrownNoise Studios:

“The [first day] the power went out! But the band stayed right on schedule, they came into the studio with a tight as hell structure already. I just helped along some of the melodies, and made sure the performances were solid.”

Kelch added:

“We went in there with the songs pretty much ready to go but throughout the recording process we continued to add spice and flavor to the tracks, and Jason was a big part of that. We totally got our band Voltron on.”

As to what to expect from the album release show, Dustin quipped:

“We [also] have a knack for following through with crazy ideas we come-up with when we get some particularly good weed.”

Check out “Dying in Leather”, and come to the Putnam Den on March 18th. (For Facebook event, click here) Show begins at 7:30, and is $15 at the door. Every attendee receives a copy of the brand new EP by JCHA.
