Gathering of the Vibes Announce 2015 Dates

Gathering of the Vibes has been going strong for two decades. A full four day festival that brings incredible talent to the stage in Bridgeport, Connecticut will return to Seaside Park July 30-August 2, 2015. Prepare to descend upon Seaside Park for a lineup born out of the void left in music after Jerry Garcia of the Grateful Dead died. Gathering of the Vibes has been a haven for like minded fans and musicians to gather and revel in a collective community of music. Last year featured such artists as John Fogerty, The Disco Biscuits, and Upstate favorites Dopapod and Rusted Root, among other acts. Jeff Ayers has been a part of the Upstate New York music scene for the better part of two decades. He is a classically trained violinist, playing with the Empire State Youth Orchestra program as a child, and also playing electric violin in the progressive metal band Lore(1997-2003), and the experimental rock and roll band Skeletons in the Piano(2008-2014). He has shifted focus to his love of writing, studying creative writing and journalism at SUNY Oswego, and currently reviewing comic books for Comic Book Herald and graphic novels for Graphic Novel Reporter. His love of music keeps him connected to the thriving music scene in this area, and he is also working on an illustrated collection of short stories with the incredible local fine artist, Matt Mrowka.
