Jeff Tweedy, lead singer of alternative band Wilco, will be performing with his new band Tweedy on Wednesday Oct. 1 at the Town Ballroom in Buffalo. Hospitality will also be performing and opening the night.
Wilco took off in 1994 and Jeff Tweedy is responsible for writing the original songs from all of the band’s eight albums. He has worked with folk singer Billy Bragg on his three-series album, Mermaid Avenue.
Tweedy just released their new album, Sukierae, on Sept. 16. Jeff Tweedy’s 18-year old son, Spencer, is in the band as well and plays guitar.
The other members of Tweedy include guitarist Jim Elkington, bassist Darin Gray, and keyboardist Liam Cunningham.
