Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band have just announced a tour that will go throughout the Northeast this December. The band will be touring behind the new album Ride Out, which is being released on Oct. 14 with opener The J. Geils Band. Bob Seger’s career has spanned almost 50 years with a ridiculous amount of hit singles. Starting in the mid 1970s when he got The Silver Bullet Band together, there was a string of 11 years that saw him at the top of the world. Starting with “Night Moves” and “Mainstreet” all the way through “Old Time Rock and Roll” and “Like a Rock” he continued pumping out songs that would get stuck in your ears for hours. His songs have appeared in countless movies and commercials and you probably know them without realizing it.
The tour starts in Seger’s home state of Michigan and soon after heads East. On Dec. 2, Albany’s Times Union Center will host the band before they make their way to Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, CT on Dec. 6. With a little break to the midwest, the band will return east to Buffalo’s First Niagara Center on Dec. 17 and wrap the tour up on Dec. 19 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Tickets for these shows go on sale on Oct. 4 at 10AM.
