Phish Heading Down to Miami to Ring in New Year’s Eve

Phish will be turning the calender over from 2014 into 2015 at American Airlines Arena in Miami this year. Over the past 4 years the band has been at Madison Square Garden for the celebration, each year pulling a great prank on the audience, as they have done every New Year’s Eve show. From flying hot dogs and flying fans, to golf cart marathons and playing in the middle of the arena on a truck, a Phish New Year’s show is always a spectacle.

The last time the band was in Miami, they “shot” drummer Jon Fishman out of a cannon and had a “replacement” fill in for the remainder of the show. This will be the third time that they have celebrated the holiday in Miami, with the other two times coming in 2003 and 2009. A ticketing request period is happening now at the band’s ticketing site that is going until the 28th, with the public on-sale happening on Saturday October 4th at 10AM. No one celebrates New Years like Phish, so make sure you get your tickets and get your accommodations set for Miami!
