Upstate Concert Hall in Clifton Park will be hosting two of New York’s up and coming bands, Mister F and Grammy award winners Snarky Puppy tonight, Sept 11th. Doors are at 7pm with show time of 8pm with tickets still available for $22 online here, at the box office or Northern Lights Smoke Shop on Fuller Road in Albany.
Snarky Puppy, the biggest secret to leak onto the music scene is kicking their World Tour 2014 off here in Upstate NY. The band is a collective, talented group fusing together unique genres, led by award-winning bassist and composer Michael League. Their music has debuted at #1 on the iTunes Jazz Charts and earned them a Grammy Award for Best R&B Performance. Snarky Puppy has performed with major artists such as Erykah Badu, Justin Timberlake, Snoop Dogg and many others. They have a contagious groove of electro-jazz funk, suitable for ears of all sounds.
The four piece electro-heavy rock band, Mister F calls the Capital District home and has been spreading their high energy, fusion across Upstate and beyond. Mister F has been touring heavily this year in support of their debut album, The F Stands Four making stops at festivals such as The Hudson Project, Catskill Chill and much more. Scott Hannay, guitarist/bassist/badass, has been sharing his big smile and shredding skills with the likes of Boob & Friends while drumming machine, Matt Pickering gained major props for his sit in session with Aqueous at Backwoods Pondfest. The Upstate Concert Hall hosts a variety of musical acts on a weekly basis, with plenty of dance room, air conditioning and 2 large bars.
