Along with The Disco Biscuits, Lotus, and STS9, Particle are one of the pioneers of jamtronica. Since forming in Califonia in 2000, the brain child of keyboardist Steve Moltiz (Phil and Friends) and late guitarist Dave Simmons, the group has played with many guitar players since, including Scott Metzger, Al Schiner of moe., Tea Leaf Green’s Josh Clark, the masterful Joe Satriani and current guitarist Ben Come. Joining Come is Brothers Past bassist Clay Parnell, whose joining of the band opens up endless possibilities for Particle. Not only is Parnell a master of his instrument, he is also a master of the lap top and sampling, providing endless danceable beats. Clay joining the band may give a boost to Particle and give even more recognition to the world of jamtronica.
