Mary Morgan Craig started writing for as a freshman at Syracuse University in the fall of 2012. Born and raised in the small town of Boxford just a few minutes outside Boston, she is a proud RedSox fan and naturally wicked cool. Growing up she gained most of her live music experience at Boston venues The Hatch Shell, The House of Blues, Paradise Rock Club, The Garden, and The Comcast Center in Mansfield, MA. She credits her parents for imparting in her a deep love for the performing arts and for introducing her to influential artists such as Van Morrison, Marvin Gaye, and Earth Wind and Fire at a young age.
She graduated from Masconomet Regional High School in 2012 where she spent most of her free time involved in the school’s radio station, WBMT 88.3 FM. When she realized music was something she had to pursue, she applied to The Bandier Program for The Music and Entertainment Industries at Syracuse University and was accepted. She spent the summer of 2012 interning at 92.5 FM, The River, Boston’s only independent radio station, where she gained her first industry experience and curated her passion. This past summer she went back to the station to work as Assistant Promotions Director. She is also involved in SU’s student-run radio station WERW and helps book for up and coming NYC based artist Wolfcolony. Morgan is looking forward to going abroad to London in the Spring next year and can’t wait to continue reviewing and interviewing artists for .
Morgan’s musical bucketlist includes Earth, Wind and Fire, Fleetwood Mac, Jack White, Vampire Weekend, M.I.A., Grimes, Flying Lotus, Diplo, and Janis Joplin if time machines are ever invented.
