Matisyahu to Perform at Upstate Concert Hall, September 9th

Matisyahu brings his unique fusion of traditional Jewish themes, blended with reggae, rock, and hip-hop to the Upstate Concert Hall (Clifton Park, NY) on Monday, September 9th. Special guest, MAGIC!, will open the show.

Born in West Chester PA, Matthew Paul Miller goes by his Hebrew and stage name, Matisyahu (“Gift of God”). Since 2004, he has released four studio albums, two live albums, and two live-concert DVDs. In 2004, Matisyahu released the single “King Without a Crown” which was a Top 40 hit in the United States. Matisyahu has shared the stage with many talented musicians including Trey Anastasio (Bonnaroo 2005), Sting (June 2006), and Sublime (2010 Summer Tour).

The Chicago Tribune’s Kevin Pang describes a Matisyahu performance as a “soul-shaking brand of dancehall reggae, a show that captures both the jam band vibe of Phish and the ska-punk of Sublime.”

Ticket prices are $20 in advance or $23 at the door and are available through Ticketmaster, the Northern Lights Smoke Shop (518-453-3402), or at the Upstate Concert Hall box office. Show time is 8:00PM.
