Rusted Root will be coming back to the Putnam Den in Saratoga Springs, New York on Monday, March 11th. Rusted Root is known for their unique fusion of acoustic, rock, and world music. The band has sold over three million record and has been around since before their debut independent album, Cruel Sun, released in 1992. However it was their sophomore effort, When I Woke (1994), that garnered the band national attention.
Upstate New York fans can expect to hear a variety of Rusted Root songs from the past twenty years, including favorites like; “Ecstasy”, “Sister Contine”, “Welcome to My Party” and of course, “Send Me On My Way.”
Fans can also expect to hear tunes off their newest release The Movement that came out in 2012. Rusted Root’s new work is taking the traditional multi-instrumental jam band from the industrial age and moving onto the spiritual age. The band feels every should devote themselves to all that is love, healing and pragmatic. It is time for the world to heal and what better way than through music?
Opening for Rusted Root will be New York’s own Banooba. Banooba is a fusion band that incorporates funk, jazz, reggae and rock into a cohesive sound. Expect a high-energy opening set and get there early to start dancing.
