This Saturday night, Putnam Den, Saratoga Springs’ favorite year-round live music hot spot, will play host to the Boston-based ska/punk band Big D and the Kids Table. Since 1995 Big D has played a couple hundred shows a year and has amassed a strong following. They have opened for such acts as The Mighty Might Bosstones, Dropkick Murphys, Rancid, Less Than Jake and they are seen and heard every year on the Warped Tour. Big D’s stage presence is fine-tuned and the audience can expect a high energy show and proves to be a great time.
Their new album, For The Damned The Dumb & The Delirious, is described as being filled with driving ska-punk bangers, leaping off the stage thrash, seedy dub and topped off with a lot of that good ol’ fashion working class, Boston bar room beer toasting anthems. It’s gritty, bratty and raw – confident, witty and fun.
