FEATURED BAND: Measured in Grey

Already seasoned from being in a variety of quality punk and hardcore bands, in 2006 brothers Johnny and Ian Keane decided to try something new. Over the intervening years the lineup solidified with Sean Mcguckin as bassist and Brad Conklin on Drums.

This resulted in a band who’s sound seamlessly blends a varied list of influences that include Misfits, Alkaline Trio, Hot Water Music and Jawbreaker. Measured In Grey recorded an album in 2008 and another in the summer of 2010. There’s a great variety in the songs on both albums, but a fast, tight, melodic and catchy sound that remains constant as their own.

MIG is a high energy band that is always worth catching live. Their next show is at The Barbary in Philadelphia, Pa with Sheer Terror and Vision on 12/18.
