Formula 5’s Summer Tour Celebrates ‘All Points North’

Upstate NY band Releases Summer Tour Dates, Audio and Video from ‘All Points North’ album release show.

Formula 5 began its 2017 Summer Tour this week, kicking things off at Disc Jam Music Festival, with stops at Woodhendge Music Art and Sustainability Festival and Shade Festival later this month.

The jam-oriented rockers swing through the Midwest and New York throughout July and August, performing three shows on historic waterways of their native New York State, with a hometown celebration on August 25th as they headline the 200 year anniversary of steamboats on Lake George.

Formula 5 also released audio and video from their April 15 album release show for ‘All Points North,’ the third studio album from the quartet. Featuring Bryan Brundige (trombone) and Phil Chow (trumpet), the album was performed live start to finish in the first set of the celebration of the album’s release. Jambase said of the album: “At times the band sounds like old heroes like moe. and God Street Wine, while at other times they veer into more modern terrain like electronica and fusion. They clearly celebrate all corners of the musical landscape and the album makes no bones about incorporating long segments and heady instrumental acrobatics.”

All Points North was produced, recorded and mixed by Bryan Brundige at Overit Studios in Albany, NY and Mastered by Michael Schoonmaker at Gigantic Mastering.
