Funktional Flow Announces Line-Up for First Ever Flow Fest

Buffalo based reggae funk fusion outfit Funktional Flow has announced the line-up for their first ever Flow Fest. The day long festival is slated for Saturday May 27th and will be held at the Woodlawn Beach Tiki Bar at the Woodlawn Beach just south of Buffalo.

Flow Fest will include two sets from host band Funktional Flow as well as a late night Funktional Flow campfire acoustic set. This year’s line-up includes Blue Rootz, PA Line and an acoustic set from Flow’s Joey Lewis with Kevin Lewis. In addition, Funktional Flow will be running a Facebook based contest to select one additional act for the day’s music.

After a successful show at the beach-side location last summer, the band was approached by the venue to do a larger day-long festival this summer.  Funktional Flow guitarist and vocalist Jeffrey Kebler told NYS Music the location of the venue “is the best spot to play as far as an actual beach setting and it’s super tranquil. Obviously, it was a no-brainer to kick off the summer.”

Tickets for the event are only $15 and will only be available the day of the event.  Organizers have elected to forgo advance ticket sales, in the event that inclement weather causes delays or cancellations.

Funktional Flow has been a staple at many area festivals including the Night Lights Music Festival and Buffalove Music Festival.  Last spring, the band released its second studio effort, Time Will Tell. The band will be playing to a hometown crowd in nearby Hamburg at the Armor Inn Tap Room on March 18  as well as Buffalo Iron Works on April 15.
