Madison Square Garden Company Reports Massive Breach

Madison Square Garden Company issued an alert yesterday about a credit card breach that has lasted almost a year, affecting venues like MSG, Radio City Music Hall and more.

The alert issued said a “potential data security concern” was affecting customers’ credit cards, according to PIX 11 News.

Officials are warning those who used their cards anytime between Nov. 9, 2015 and Oct. 24, 2016 at Madison Square Garden, the Theater at Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall, Beacon Theater and Chicago Theater concession stands and food and beverage locations to take caution, as their account may have been affected.

The breach did not affect Ticketmaster or box office purchases.

Officials are advising those with a possible threat to monitor their account for any suspicious or unauthorized activity, and take steps to secure their information. The hackers may have received clients’ personal information like credit card numbers, card holder names, expiration dates and internal verification codes, per Madison Square Garden Company.

The company is currently working with law enforcement to find out how the breach happened, and who was responsible.
