Guitarist Joe Marcinek brings together an ever-evolving lineup of musicians each weekend and heads out on the road with the new band. He has performed with many top artists in the jam scene, including Bernie Worrell (P-Funk, Talking Heads), Kris Myers (Umphrey’s McGee), Jason Hann (String Cheese Incident), Jim Loughlin and Vinnie Amico (moe.), Erik “Jesus” Coomes (Lettuce), Joey Porter (the Motet), Jennifer Hartswick (Trey Anastasio Band), Mike Greenfield (Lotus), Steve Molitz (Particle), Allen Aucoin (Disco Biscuits), Shaun Martin (Snarky Puppy) and Allie Kral (Yonder Mountain String Band). He states that the main reason for constantly changing the lineup is to continuously challenge himself and the other musicians.

The show at Funk ‘N Waffles takes place this Friday, Oct. 14. In addition to Marcinek on guitar, Friday’s lineup includes Marty Sammon (Buddy Guy) on keyboards, Janis Wallin (Family Groove Company) on bass and Rick King (Lubriphonic) on drums. The show is 18 an over and starts at 9 p.m. Tickets are available for $15.
